Farming then became his full-time "hobby" but was always his true love. The material handling business grew into Beuschel Sales Inc. which successfully celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011 under the leadership of son, Keith Beuschel, and continues as a family business today. Wendell served in numerous capacities at his local church, Trinity Lutheran, Lions Club of Sparta, American Legion, Peach Ridge Air Force and Boy Scouts. Through Boy Scouts he was introduced to his Heaven here on earth" the Boundary Water Canoe Area in Ely, MN where he enjoyed summers catching Northern Pike and Walleye.
